Aging & Disability Vaccine Collaborative Led by Mid-Carolina and USAging

Mid-Carolina is partnering with USAging to provide the Aging & Disability Vaccination Collaborative to aid in securing COVID-19 and/or influenza vaccinations for older adults and people with disabilities.

Our focus:

  • Vaccination fairs & events in the community
  • Supportive services such as scheduling, transportation, companion-assisted to and from vaccincation sites and in-home vaccinations for individuals in need
  • Specific focus on diverse & under-served populations

Vaccine Outreach Coordinator: Lanora Washington

Lanora Washington earned her degree in Business Administration from Purdue University. She manages our team and makes sure information is credible and individuals in the community are able to have access to resources, transportation, and other services that assist with our community being vaccinated for our safety.

Table Set-up/Educational Sessions/Vaccination Surveys @ Vaccination Sites

Cumberland County 

November 2nd, 16th, and 30th the Vaccine Outreach Program will be at the Harry United Methodist Church from 10 am to 2 pm providing information/education/distribution of Covid test kits/completion of vaccination surveys

November 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th the Vaccine Outreach Program will be at the Healing Hands of Love Ministries for their Food Bank and Feeding, the Vaccine Outreach Program will be providing information/education/distribution of Covid test kits/completion of vaccination surveys

Vax Your Pet:

Rabies Vaccination $5 per dog per cat  Cash Only.  No checks or credit cards accepted.  No rolled coins.  Keep dogs on a leash.  Keep your cats in seperate carriers or boxes or leave them in car with the windows down or the air conditioner switched on.  Owners may be held responsible for their pets and for any damage they cause. 

Vax Yourself:

COVID-19 & Flu  Covid-19 and flue vaccines are FREE  to all regardless of insurance status.  Ages 6 months and up are eligible to take the COVID-19 vaccine.  Eligibility criteria for individuals seeking booster shots can be found on our website at www.cumberlandcountync.gov/publichealth

Mid Carolina will be conducting surveys and providing incentives after vaccination and survey is completed.

 

Carelon Health Fayetteville Community Health and Resources Fair 

Thursday November 16 10am-2pm

This FREE community fair brings together important health services, resources and providers that serve the Fayetteville area.  Vaccinations. HIV-Hep-C Testing.  Blood Pressure screenings. Vaccination Clinic  Express Discount Pharmacy will conduct vaccinations for COVID-19 and flu.  Mid-Carolina will be conducting surveys and giving out incentives after vaccinations and surveys are completed.

They will also have workshops in the following areas: Senior Life, Education, Budgeting, Health, and Nutrition

Lunch will be served from 12pm-1pm
