Career Services

Mid-Carolina Joblink Career Centers located in Harnett, Lee, and Sampson counties serve as comprehensive one-stop shops for an array of services to help unemployed and underemployed adults find work or receive training (through Workforce Investment Act funding) and support with their job search.

The following services are provided through area JobLink Career Centers:

Skills Assessments - Evaluate your employment abilities, interests and basic skills.
Job Search Assistance - Explore your career options in the current labor market.
Resume Preparation - Prepare a professional resume through available software, workshops, or staff assistance.
Interview Preparation – Assist with interview tips and provide feedback during mock interviews.
Job Listings – Allow access to job listings placed directly with the JobLink.
Job Application Assistance – Assist with application completion and provide tips and pointers.
Career Planning and Development - Identify skills training, education needed for employment in the local labor market.
Connection to High School Completion and GED - Connect to the classes needed to get your high school diploma.
Occupational Skills Training for a Specific Career - Referrals to specific training programs available for the local labor market.
Literacy Skills - Improve your basic reading, writing and math skills.
Job Search Assistance- Workshops and one-on-one training to assist individuals manage personal barriers to employment, find, and keep jobs.
Support Services - Help individuals find assistance with childcare, transportation, family problems or other challenges that could affect their success in a job.
Information and referrals – Provide information about community resources and referrals as needed.
Labor Market Information – Provide information on the current job market in the surrounding counties as well as information about trends and in-demand occupations.
Financial Assistance - Learn about education programs and training opportunities available in your region. Find out whether you are eligible for financial assistance and learn how to apply.
